Disabling the Community

Our themes fully support Zendesk Gather, which offers community based forum functionality to users. If you’re not ready to get started with Zendesk Gather, you can disable it through your help center’s settings.

To disable the community

  1. In Guide, click the Settings (Zendesk Guide Settings icon) icon in the sidebar, then select Gather settings.
  2. Deselect Activate community.
  3. Click Save.

Disable Zendesk Gather Community functionality

Disabling the Community through the Zendesk Gather settings will hide the Community portion of the help center from end users. Agents and Guide managers who are editing and previewing the theme will still see it, however, as described in this post from the Zendesk forum.
